Welcome Back Faculty

Welcome back to the 2026-27 academic year. As we all get settled into our routines, I wanted to remind all faculty that the Office for Faculty Excellence (OFE) is here to support you, and is the only unit at NC State that is 100 percent dedicated to faculty. 

OFE promotes faculty success in every career stage by offering professional and leadership development programming, supporting policies related to faculty employment, and facilitating faculty awards and recognition.

Whether you are early career faculty and need a one-on-one consultation on how to engage your students, or mid career faculty who would like advice on which awards you should apply for, to late career faculty who would like to pursue a leadership position, OFE is here to help. 

NC State faculty should be familiar with the appointment, reappointment, promotion and permanent tenure policies.  We offer resources and guidance on a range of faculty evaluation processes and procedures, including Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure (RPT), post-tenure review, annual reviews and statements of faculty responsibilities.
