Consultations by OFE Staff
The Office for Faculty Excellence (OFE) provides one-on-one consultations with individual faculty or group consultations with departments or committees.
We can provide consultation for questions, such as:
- Do you have questions on course design, such as how to best design your syllabus, how to integrate more active learning, or how to best moderate discussion?
- Are you interested in learning more about how to make changes in the formative and summative assessment techniques in your classroom?
- Have you wondered about how to integrate service learning, universal design, or sustainable teaching in your classroom?
- Do you want to learn how to better motivate your students? Would you like help developing group activities for your classroom?
- Are you trying to find someone to sit in on a class or session and provide you with feedback?
Consultations provide an opportunity for faculty to explore various teaching and learning strategies and approaches. A consultation may consist of one or two meetings to discuss topics of interest or a series of meetings over the course of the semester.
Whether you are looking to try something new in a class or to discuss a particular teaching and learning issue, the OFE staff is happy to provide personalized support. All consultations are voluntary and confidential.
One of our qualified staff members will promptly respond and discuss your specific needs. If we do not have the specific expertise, we will connect you with those who do.
