About the Office
On July 1, 2021, the Office of Faculty Affairs and the Office of Faculty Development merged to create the Office for Faculty Excellence. The two offices have worked closely together for many years, and this merger formalizes and strengthens that relationship. What does this mean for NC State faculty? Even with new name and organizational structure, we will continue to provide the same high quality services for which you have come to expect from the Offices of Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development. Later this year, we will unveil an updated and unified web presence.
The Office for Faculty Excellence provides support and guidance to all NC State faculty, as we foster and facilitate professional success and growth. We provide critical resources at all stages of a faculty member’s career, including enhancing skills and practices through professional development and leadership programming, coordinating campus-wide development resources, providing support for the implementation and review of policies related to faculty employment and advancement, assisting faculty as they pursue honorific awards and celebrating faculty success through special events.
Supporting Faculty Success
We provide comprehensive support to NC State faculty regarding teaching, research, personnel matters, professional development and more.
We host many faculty development events and programs throughout the year, including the RED Core Teaching Certification, Reading Circles, monthly Faculty Writing Retreats, Faculty Communities and more.
