Dr. Sue Fenton, Professor in Biological Sciences, directs the Center for Human Health and the Environment (CHHE) at NC State. Trained as a reproductive endocrinologist at University of WI-Madison, she led endocrine disruptor and PFAS developmental toxicity studies at the US EPA and the NIEHS for 25 years. As a specialist in mammary gland physiology, she leads international efforts to amend OECD test guidelines and workgroups aimed at better understanding the mechanism(s) of chemical effects on breast and ovarian cancer risk.
