Carolinas Collaborative on Climate, Health, and Equity

The Carolinas Collaborative on Climate, Health, and Equity (C3HE) strives to support communities that are disproportionately exposed to climate hazards and other compounding social inequities by predicting and understanding their exposure and vulnerability to climate threats, such as drought, heat, and flooding.

The Center for Human Health and the Environment (CHHE) applies a systems biology approach, spanning biomolecules to human populations, to understand how environmental stressors impact human health. Data Science Academy

The NC State Data Science Academy (DSA) connects and supports interdisciplinary teams of researchers. They provide collaborative consulting, seed grants and proposal developments. They collaborate to develop new courses, badges, certificates and minors and allow articulation of our 1-credit project-based courses into degree programs. They also collaborate on outreach to K-12 teachers and students through Data Explorers and up-skill professionals through Data at Work.

The Genetics and Genomics Academy promotes and supports collaborations across all research, training, and outreach activities at NC State to forge a more interdisciplinary understanding of the genetic and genomic underpinnings of life on earth to sustain biodiversity and improve societal equity and wellbeing.

North Carolina Center for Coastal Algae, People and Environment

NC C-CAPE will provide the necessary research to improve cyanobacteria and toxin monitoring; inform guideline values for the safe consumption of water and seafood; deliver predictive tools to assess emergent and future toxin exposure risk; and leverage community engagement initiatives to fill data gaps and protect ocean and human health.
