OFE Faculty Fellow Opportunities
Join the OFE team for 2025-26! We are looking to fund three Office for Faculty Excellence Faculty Fellows who will facilitate OFE RED TH!NK certification program, assist with the Campus Writing and Speaking Program (CWSP), and assist with External Awards and Recognition. The fellow positions are:
- A fellow to assist with the TH!NK Critical and Creative Thinking Certification
- A fellow to assist with the Campus Writing and Speaking Program (CWSP)
- A fellow to assist with External Awards and Recognition
Each fellow will receive $2500 per semester for each of fall and spring terms, beginning August 16, 2025 and ending May 15, 2026. Faculty with either 9 or 12 month appointments are eligible. Some positions may have the possibility for renewal through a second year.
TH!NK Critical and Creative Thinking Certification
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitate faculty learning and completion of the RED TH!NK certification
- Facilitate synchronous discussion sessions twice per month (12 total during the academic year)
- Review brief faculty reflections
- Provide feedback on faculty work if requested
- Provide on-going support/mentorship to faculty participants over the course of the year
- Track and report progress of participants

Campus Writing and Speaking Program (CWSP)
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Revitalize and coordinate faculty writing support networks, including the development and facilitation of interdisciplinary faculty writing groups
- Design and implement programming to foster a strong faculty writing culture, such as writing retreats, accountability groups, and peer review opportunities
- Create resources and toolkits to support faculty writing productivity, time management, and goal setting across career stages
- Collaborate with CWSP co-directors to expand faculty engagement with scholarly writing, research-based writing pedagogy, and writing-to-learn strategies
- Identify and promote best practices in writing support through surveys, assessments, and direct faculty feedback
- Maintain communication with participating faculty and track engagement and impact of writing support efforts
- Work with CWSP staff to promote writing initiatives across colleges and academic units
- Participate in CWSP programming and planning sessions
This fellow will interact with faculty to motivate and energize them in their writing goals and professional development and will participate in ongoing strategic discussions to grow writing support at NC State.
External Awards and Recognition Faculty Fellow
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- establishing an awards presence at the college level
- developing a college liaison network
- engaging with awards committees
- identifying cross-discipline opportunities
- producing resources for faculty at different career stages
