Register for Idea Camp!

After the success of our asynchronous #NCStateUnplugged series last summer, the Office for Faculty Excellence is once again offering a summer series to engage faculty, staff and graduate students in a learning opportunity designed to advance professional development.

Idea Camp will focus on how to generate ideas and take them from generation to implementation. The focus will be on innovative pedagogy and educational research. The asynchronous, four part series will take place on each Tuesday in July, starting on Tuesday, July 5. Each installment will include a blog post, short podcast, relevant readings, activities, and more.

You access the content at your own pace, in your own time, and using your favorite device. If you want to, you can join us on Twitter using #NCStateIdeaCamp to chat about the theme of the week…or not, we will leave that up to you.

Howl About You: Employee Spotlight Series

NC State employs more than 8,000 employees who work across a multitude of colleges, divisions, departments, offices and units that spread across the state. Even though some of us have developed close professional relationships and friendships with colleagues, for many of us getting to know anyone other than our daily co-workers is difficult. That’s why NC State Human Resources created Howl About You, a page where they shine a spotlight on our employees by letting them share five facts about themselves. As you read the entries on Howl About You, HR hopes you discover someone who shares the same professional or personal interests as you and make a connection with them.
