Chat Café: Coffee Talk for Wolfpack Faculty
Are you ready for some coffee talk? Looking for a place to connect with colleagues, ask questions, and share ideas about teaching in these challenging, uncertain times? Join DELTA, NC State University Libraries, and OFD virtually for the Faculty Chat Café in the spring. The Chat Café will be open via Zoom on Fridays, 9:00-10:00 am, beginning January 15, 2021.
Additionally, the Café will be open on our spring Wellness Days (Tuesday, February 9; Wednesday, March 24; and Thursday, April 15). Go to go.ncsu.edu/fac-chat to save the dates on your calendar with the Zoom links.
Mindful Mondays Continue for Spring
Never miss a Monday! Start your week enjoying the benefits of mindfulness – calm focus, greater clarity, and positive energy! Join a community of NC State faculty and staff who are learning and practicing mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques together, in Zoom, every Monday at 9:00 AM.
Session Objectives:
- Practice gentle stretching and breathing techniques
- Experience a guided mindfulness meditation
- Learn tips for incorporating mindfulness into your week
- Connect to wellness resources that support holistic well-being
This program is suitable for all levels and open to NC State faculty and staff. No special equipment or training is needed. You must be an authenticated user to join the Zoom session link.
Sessions are led by OFD Program Evaluation Specialist and NC State Employee Wellness Champion, Dr. Jennifer Stanigar. Dr. Stanigar is a certified yoga teacher who has led yoga and meditation classes for over 20 years.
PDU @ Lunch Series
The Proposal Development Unit invites the NC State community to their spring webinar series that will provide you with insights and techniques to think strategically about grant writing. The PDU will balance general guidance with specific examples to help faculty navigate differences among major funding agencies (e.g. NSF, NIH, DOD).
