Bio

I am a social scientist with expertise in collaborations and partnerships for conservation, community engagement, and capacity building for climate resilience. My work centers around weaving stakeholder values and perspectives in adaptation planning and decision making using science co-production and deliberative science approaches. In 2019, I served as a Research Fellow at the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), where I expanded my work on climate adaptation planning of cultural resources to World Heritage Sites. In 2022, I became the Director of NC State’s Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Initiative.
