Bio
Jack Rodenfels is the director of non-degree credential program innovation within the Office of Instructional Programs at NC State University. In this role, he supports the planning, development, implementation and oversight of non-degree programs, working closely with Vice Provost for Continuing and Lifelong Education Mark Bernhard and Vice Provost for DELTA Donna Petherbridge. Rodenfels came to NC State in 2025 after serving as the director of the Office of Professional and Continuing Studies at Elon University.
In this role, he was responsible for creating, implementing, and leading the university’s professional and continuing education portfolio for students and a variety of adult learners as part of the Boldly Elon strategic plan. Rodenfels was previously the assistant director of marketing and program development with Digital and Lifelong Learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Rodenfels received his Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Elon University, his Master of Arts in digital communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a doctoral candidate in educational leadership, policy and human development at NC State.
