2024 ACC Academic Leaders Network Call for Applications

The NC State Office for Faculty Excellence is seeking applications for five NC State faculty leaders to participate in the 2024 ACC Academic Leaders Network (ALN) program. The ACC ALN is designed to facilitate cross-institutional networking and collaboration among academic leaders while building leadership capacity for the participating institutions.

The program consists of three on-site sessions over the course of the calendar year, each hosted at a different participating university campus. These sessions are designed to build leadership awareness and effectiveness in the context of higher education, and facilitate conversations over a range of topics that support leadership growth in key areas across multiple spheres of influence.

The three on-site sessions for 2024 are:

  • March 20-22, 2024, Clemson University, Clemson, SC
  • June 12-14, 2024, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY
  • November 18-20, 2024, NC State University, Raleigh, NC
  • Participants will also attend a Virtual Kick-off on February 27, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Each on-site session will begin with lunch at Noon on the first day, and conclude at Noon on the third day with a boxed to-go lunch. Meals will be provided throughout each session.

The cost of the program itself and hotel accommodations for participants are covered by the ACC Academic Consortium. The Office for Faculty Excellence will cover any reimbursable travel costs, such as flights or mileage.

Applicants should:

  • Be a full-time NC State faculty member
  • Hold a formal leadership position, such as but not limited to:
    • Director of Undergraduate Programs
    • Director of Graduate Programs
    • Department Head
    • Associate Department Head
    • Associate Dean
    • Assistant Dean
  • Have held that position for more than 1 year but fewer than 5 years
  • Be available for all three in-person ALN meetings
