Extending Flexible Course Options to Our Students

As we continue to be challenged by the pandemic, we know that many of you are interested in offering increased flexibility to your students. So in a new post on Faculty Forum, a number of faculty from across campus share some ways that they have implemented flexibility in their attendance policies, assignments, and exams.

Mindfulness Practices in the Classroom (Faculty Conversation Series)

Zoom stock imageOFE’s Faculty Conversation Series returns for the Spring semester this week with Mindfulness Practices in the Classroom (January 26, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.). The benefits of mindfulness practices have been realized with health for several years; however, its role to help with student learning and memory is still being explored. Series facilitator Dr. Maria Gallardo-Williams will be joined by OFE Faculty Fellow Dr. Erica Kosal for a discussion about what is known from the literature on how mindfulness can help with student learning and mental health. They will share share practical exercises suitable for classroom use.
