Faculty Fulbright Informational Session with Program Specialist

When: November 13, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Interested in teaching or conducting research abroad? Consider a Fulbright Fellowship. Fulbright funds over 2,000 awards annually in more than 140 countries. As a Fulbright Scholar you can expand your network, foster lasting relationships, serve as an ambassador for international exchange, and gain valuable experience working and teaching abroad.

Fulbright is family-friendly and flexible; Fellowships range anywhere from two weeks, in the case of Fulbright Specialists, to a year for Fulbright scholars.

Join us on November 13 from 10-11:30 a.m. for our Fall Fulbright Informational Session. Fulbright Outreach and Recruitment Specialist, Michelle Bolourchi, will provide an overview of Fulbright programming, answer your questions, and offer advice to applicants. This event will be recorded for those unable to attend. You will need to register for the event to receive a link to the recorded session.

Global 3D: Improve Scholarly Impact Through International Collaboration

Did you know that citation rates can more than triple when your publication has at least one international co-author? In November, the Office of Global Engagament’s new Global 3D (Discuss, Discover, Develop) series will focus on global research collaboration. Join them for “how-to” conversations with experienced faculty–an opportunity to get questions answered in a casual format.

Online Lilly Conference Registrations Available

There is still time to register to attend the ITLC Online Lilly Conference, occurring November 30 – December 4, 2020. The NC State site license provides unlimited free conference registrations for faculty, staff and graduate students using their NC State email addresses.

Registration is normally $325 per person. The Lilly conference is focused on enhancing online, onsite and hybrid teaching and learning. Attendees will enjoy five full days of conference programming with both synchronous and asynchronous sessions. Session types include 30- and 60-minute sessions, plenary addresses, roundtable discussions and poster presentations.

Tracks include: Assessment classroom technologies, course (re)design, diversity/inclusion, engaging/motivating students, service learning and teaching online.

To Register for this Conference:

  • Go to https://www.itlclillyonline.com/ (close the pop-up, by “x”ing out).
  • In the upper right corner of the website, click Log In
  • Enter your first and last name and NC State email address.
  • Site membership will be approved manually by ITLC Lilly staff (within 24 hours).
  • Once approved, you will receive an email requesting that you set up your profile (Video with instructions for setting up your profile). After setting up your profile, your registration is complete.
  • One week prior to the conference start, you will receive an email reminder of the event. To access programming (synchronously or asynchronously) log in using this same login button, using email and the password you created.

There is no cost involved in registration.

Mindful Mondays

Never miss a Monday! Start your week enjoying the benefits of mindfulness – calm focus, greater clarity, and positive energy! Join a community of NC State faculty and staff who are learning and practicing mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques together, in Zoom, every Monday at 9:00 AM.

This program is suitable for all levels and open to NC State faculty and staff. No special equipment or training is needed. You must be an authenticated user to join the Zoom session link.

Sessions are led by OFD Program Evaluation Specialist and NC State Employee Wellness Champion, Dr. Jennifer Stanigar. Dr. Stanigar is a certified yoga teacher who has led yoga and meditation classes for over 20 years.
