Teaching and Learning Symposium Poster Proposals Due Jan. 9!
The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) invites NC State faculty and professional staff to submit poster and session proposals for the 2019 Teaching and Learning Symposium, which will be held February 28 at the McKimmon Center. Proposals can deal with a wide variety of topics, including teaching with technology, innovative pedagogical techniques, creativity in teaching and learning, SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning), Scholarship of Community Engagement projects, sustainability in teaching, and more.
- Poster proposals should include an abstract of no more than 250 words that succinctly summarizes the poster content.
- Submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Proposals will be reviewed for relevance to Teaching and Learning.

Faculty Writing Retreat: January 17, 2019
OFD’s next Faculty Writing Retreat of the semester will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) at the Hunt Library Faculty Commons (Centennial Campus). Sign up now to join faculty colleagues in this private and comfortable space where you can find uninterrupted time to write your article, grant proposal, book chapter, or dossier materials.
Coffee/tea/water will be provided.
Registration is for the full-day event, but please feel free to come and go as needed — join us all day, just the morning, just the afternoon, or even just an hour or two!
