Reaffirmation Timeline

Reaffirmation is every ten years with an interim report at the fifth year. NC State completed its most recent reaffirmation in 2024. The next decennial reaffirmation will take place in 2034.

Spring 2021: Reaffirmation Steering Committee was formed
October 2021: Call for QEP pre-proposals sent to the NC State community.
November and December 2021: QEP pre-proposal informational workshops held.
Friday, January 28, 2022: QEP pre-proposal submissions due by midnight.
June 2022: QEP Planning Team notifies finalists and schedules consultation meetings.
August – November 2022: QEP proposal teams prepare full proposals.
End of November 2022: QEP full proposal submissions due.
November 2022 – January 2023: QEP finalists present their proposals to the university community.
February 2023: QEP Planning Team reviews proposals with SACSCOC Steering Committee.
March 2023: Final QEP project is selected and announced to the NC State community.
Spring 2023: Steering Committee reviews draft of Compliance Certificate
May 2023: NC State hosted a campus advisory visit with our SACSCOC Vice President to gauge NC State’s readiness for the reaffirmation review
September 2023: Compliance certification/self-study (Unity ID and password required) submitted to SACSCOC
October 2023: Off-Site Committee Review
November 2023: Receive findings from Off-Site Committee Review
December 2023: Submit responses to any findings from Off-Site Committee Review
January 2024: Submit Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
February 2024: Visit to off-campus instructional site at Craven Community College, Havelock campus
March 2024: Visit to off-campus instructional site at Central Piedmont Community College
March 25-28, 2024: On-Site Committee Review – Post-visit update
December 2024: Final Decision by SACSCOC Board of Trustees – Reaffirmed through 2034
