The Office of Assessment and Accreditation is offering a series of general assessment workshops throughout the spring.
The Office of Assessment and Accreditation is preparing a series of general assessment workshops that can be accessed and completed asynchronously. Links to the recordings for each workshop are available below.
Assessment 101
This workshop is for faculty and staff involved in their program or unit’s assessment process or their administrative unit’s assessment process. It will cover the purposes of assessment, the assessment cycle in general and the assessment process at NC State. This workshop will also provide an overview of assessment methods, resources and best practices.

Curriculum Maps and Course Alignment (Academic Programs)
This workshop is for faculty and staff involved in the academic student learning outcomes assessment process. It will introduce participants to curriculum maps and course alignment maps as key tools for assessment and planning. The workshop will explain the goals of curriculum mapping, provide participants with the necessary information to select an appropriate model for curriculum mapping and to identify alignment of curriculum, outcomes, and using the curriculum map and course alignment maps.

Support with the Annual Outcomes Assessment Process
Support with the Annual Outcomes Assessment Process
This fall, campus assessment facilitators are available to meet with directors of undergraduate programs (DUPs), directors of graduate programs (DGPs) and department heads for assistance with the annual outcomes assessment process.
Faculty and staff involved in the assessment process are encouraged to reach out to the assessment facilitators for individual consultations (Kaitlyn Mittan kmmittan@ncsu.edu for undergraduate programs; Dr. Pierre Gremaud gremaud@ncsu.edu for graduate programs).
