Bio

Rebecca Ward’s background is in climate science and education. Her work centers around supporting local communities in North Carolina with enhancing climate resilience through technical expertise, capacity-building, facilitation, and education. She has worked on a range of climate-related topics, particularly drought, heat, and harmful algal blooms; has extensive experience with communicating climate change; and has developed and led education and training programs designed for non-technical audiences and university students around climate change topics and climate risk and vulnerability assessments.
