Bio

Dr. de los Reyes is the Glenn E. and Phyllis J. Futrell Distinguished Professor of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor, and University Faculty Scholar at North Carolina State University. He leads the Global WaSH Faculty Cluster, and is an advocate for access to sustainable sanitation around the world. His areas of research include biological processes in conversion of waste and wastewater to energy and resources, the circular economy of water, context-dependent water and wastewater infrastructure, and microbial ecology.
