Bio

Dr. Fashaad Crawford serves as Vice Provost for Assessment and Accreditation at NC State University. In this role, Crawford aids Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Warwick Arden in overseeing the university’s regional accreditation and assessment processes. Crawford came to NC State in 2016 as Associate Vice Provost, following his tenure as Assistant Provost for Assessment, Accreditation and Learning at Kent State University.

While at Kent State, Crawford oversaw the facilitation and analyses of key university-wide student, faculty and employee assessments, and served as the university’s liaison to the Higher Learning Commission (North Central Association), successfully guiding Kent State through the reaffirmation of accreditation process in 2013.

Crawford received his bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University, and completed his master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of Louisville. He has held university faculty and high school teaching positions, and has published research in the areas of student success and organizational justice in higher education.
