Celso Castro Bolinaga

Bio

Dr. Celso Castro-Bolinaga is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University. Dr. Castro-Bolinaga graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), Venezuela with a BS (2009) in Civil Engineering, and received a MS (2012) and PhD (2016) in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. His team (i.e., the Environmental Sediment Mechanics Research Group) conducts studies in the area of environmental hydraulics and sediment transport, studying phenomena related to the dynamics of water and sediment in a range of aquatic environments that include streams, rivers, and estuaries.
