Bio

Dr. Fashaad Crawford is the Senior Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness, leading university-wide initiatives in strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation. He serves as the university’s primary liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). 

Since joining NC State, Dr. Crawford has held several key roles, including Vice Provost and Associate Vice Provost for Assessment and Accreditation. His leadership was instrumental in the successful completion of the 2020 SACSCOC Fifth-Year Review and the 2024 Reaffirmation of Accreditation. He also played a pivotal role in developing NC State’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and has significantly modernized institutional assessment systems across all academic and administrative units.

Previously, Dr. Crawford served as Assistant Provost for Accreditation, Assessment, and Learning at Kent State University, where he directed comprehensive assessment efforts across the eight-campus system and served as the primary liaison to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). 

Dr. Crawford has over 15 years of leadership experience in higher education. He began his career in the faculty at the University of Louisville and currently serves on the Committee on Recognition for the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
