Bio
Dr. Donna Petherbridge serves as Vice Provost for Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) at NC State University. In this role, Petherbridge leads a team of training, instructional design, media production, applications support and applications development specialists in researching, applying and supporting innovative instructional technologies and pedagogies. She previously served as interim vice provost since 2021, associate vice provost for academic technology innovation since 2017, was in an associate vice provost role since 2007, and has been part of DELTA since its creation in 2000.
She is also an adjunct teaching assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development in the College of Education, where she teaches online courses, mentors graduate students, and serves on dissertation committees. Petherbridge has been a member of the graduate faculty since 2008.
Petherbridge earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Elon University, her master’s degree in information science from North Carolina Central University, her Ed.D. in adult and community college education from NC State, and an Executive Women in Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
