Bio

Dr. Don Hunt serves as Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Services at North Carolina State University. He provides strategic leadership for student access, admissions, scholarships and financial aid, registration and records, summer sessions, campus visits, non-degree studies, and family and scholar programs.

Since joining NC State in 2021, Dr. Hunt has advanced enrollment planning and analytics, expanded community college partnerships, and led initiatives that streamline student pathways and improve institutional efficiency. As chair of the university’s Enrollment Management Committee, he collaborates with academic and administrative leaders to align resources with long-term enrollment goals.

Before coming to NC State, Dr. Hunt was Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment at the University of California, Davis, where he oversaw admissions, financial aid, registrar operations, and enrollment analytics. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fresno, and both a Master of Science in Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park. A U.S. Army veteran, he continues to apply a disciplined, student-centered approach to leadership in higher education.
