2023-2024 Process, Schedule and Reminders

Current Year Details

COVID IMPACT STATEMENTS will again be an option in the 2023-2024 RPT Cycle (Section I.C. of the Dossier)

To include a COVID Impact Statement in a RPT dossier: The COVID Impact Statement, where used, will be part of the optional candidate statement in RPT dossiers. The two-page limit for section I.C. of the RPT dossier has been increased, permitting a maximum of three pages. Faculty may choose to present a COVID Impact Statement as a discrete one-page addition to their candidate statement, or they may choose to integrate information about the impact of COVID throughout a three-page candidate statement. If integrating across a three-page statement, faculty should ensure that COVID impacts are clearly and explicitly presented to address the intent of this opportunity. For more information on COVID Impact Statements, including a set of Frequently Asked Questions, please click here. Please note that impact statements are not required.

RADAR to RED Reporting Transition (Section III.B. of the Dossier)

Research Administration Data and Reporting (RADAR) will be retired in August 2023 when Research Enterprise Data (RED) modules for Sponsored Programs go live.

Beginning with the 2023-2024 RPT cycle, the list of grant activity (currently referred to as the RADAR RPT report) will be available from the RED Sponsored Programs modules through a SAS Visual Analytics-generated RPT Report (beta version). For more information on RED implementation, please visit research.ncsu.edu/era. More details about the RED/SAS RPT Report are available at go.ncsu.edu/rpt_sponsored_programs_report.

Generating and Printing the RPT Report

The Office of Research and Innovation created a short informational video on how to generate and print a PDF of the new RPT Report. View the video via the link below or at go.ncsu.edu/rpt_report_printing.

REMINDER – NEW TEMPLATE FOR REQUESTING EXTERNAL EVALUATIONS is now required. (Section VII.A. of the Dossier)

This is a reminder that the new template required for requesting external evaluations for RPT candidates is available on our website. Use of this template became a requirement last year; however, since some departments/colleges may not have had candidates in the 2022-2023 RPT cycle we are including this reminder here.
