2016 UNC Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching recipient Dr. Jeff Joines, associate professor and associate department head, Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science, will speak on his teaching philosophy.

FoodCon 2016 is a one-day conference focused on the business of sustainable food. Its goal is to bring together a diverse audience of students, community members, and business professionals who have a shared interest in the sustainable food industry. The event is hosted by NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University. Purchase tickets by Friday Nov. 9: $15 for students, $20 for non-students.

The environment plays a critical role in healthy aging. Come learn about research being done at NC State and resources available in the community that promote the healthy aging of older adults. This free event is hosted by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Department of Psychology and the Daily Well-Being in Adulthood Lab. Registration is required.
