Every spring, the Provost's Office offers general information meetings on the NC State reappointment, promotion and tenure (RPT) process. These sessions are designed for new faculty, those who will be entering the RPT cycle, or individuals involved in the RPT process.

Teaching and Learning Symposium

The Office of Faculty Development cordially invites NC State faculty and staff to attend this one-day event. The keynote speaker will be be Dr. Thomas J. Tobin, co-author of Reach Everyone, Teach Everyone: Universal Design for Learning in Higher Education, our Fall 2019 Reading Circle selection. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions led by NC State faculty, and meet and talk with peers who are interested in teaching and learning.

The University Research Symposium provides a forum for cross-college networking and seeks to promote collaboration across disciplines and colleges. The purpose of this event is to introduce researchers and scholars to each other, to explore opportunities for new partnerships, and to envision the future of research at NC State.

Online Workshop – Academic Continuity: Helping Faculty to Continue Teaching During Emergencies

Academic continuity plans are essential for the seamless continuation of instruction during crisis scenarios involving a significant disruption in instruction. This Instructional Design Interest Group meeting is for support staff (Instructional Designers, Instructional Technologists, and others) as well as faculty, who want to know more about what the university is doing in regards to helping us to a possible transition to fully online.

Office of International Services Virtual Town Hall Meeting

OIS will be hosting another Virtual Town Hall meeting via zoom at 2 PM (Raleigh time) on Friday, March 27th for international students and scholars to address any new additional questions and concerns regarding the latest COVID-19 developments since our last Town Hall.

Mindful Mondays

Start your week with the intention to practice mindfulness during this period of social/physical distancing and isolation. Join us every Monday to practice movement, breathe, meditate and simply be in community with fellow NC State faculty and staff. Sessions are held in Zoom every Monday for 30 minutes at 9:00 a.m. and repeated at 12:00 p.m.. Each session includes a few stretches, some breathing, and a 15 minute guided meditation followed by time for sharing and questions, as well as tips for incorporating mindfulness into daily life.
