NC State’s Research Leadership Academy is hosting a junior faculty forum for assistant and non-tenured associate Faculty will have the opportunity to question a panel of senior faculty and university leaders about concerns and challenges as junior faculty in today’s research environment. A pizza and salad lunch will be provided. Register today and contact Laura Kroeger at lakroege@ncsu.edu with any questions.
The forum is a new event derived from what has traditionally been the morning session of the Research Retreat. Similarly to the Research Retreat, the topics discussed during the forum’s agenda should be of interest to all NC State faculty. Please note there is no registration fee for this year’s event, but participants should register as soon as possible so they can be included in all event communications and updates.
All faculty are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting and participate in a dialogue with each other, Chancellor Woodson, Provost Arden and other senior administrative leaders of the university.
David Wallace-Wells, author of The Uninhabitable Earth, discusses the motivating force of climate change. Books will be available for on-site purchase from the NC State Bookstore, and Mr. Wallace-Wells will sign books following the talk. This program is sponsored by the NC State University Speakers and Lectures Committee, with support from the Harrelson Fund and the University Scholars Program. This talk is free and open to the public; tickets are available on Eventbrite.
