Vrinda Desai

Bio

Dr. Vrinda D. Desai joined North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies (NCICS) as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in December 2023, focusing on historical GOES data to investigate climate patterns in large datasets. She holds a BS in physics from Centre College, KY, and a PhD in physics from North Carolina State University, where her research focused on creeping landslides and forecasting the transition to failure. Desai teaches data science and visualization courses at NC State with the Data Science Academy. She enjoys being in bodies of water and experimenting with recipes.
