Nonmandatory Reviews

Nonmandatory reviews are not triggered by a prescribed time. Nonmandatory review categories are:
Promotion and Conferral of Tenure Prior to Mandatory Review Year: Promotions and conferral of tenure of Assistant Professors prior to their required mandatory review year are considered nonmandatory reviews. A candidate who is considered for tenure and promotion during a nonmandatory review and is denied can be considered again during their mandatory review year. If an untenured Associate Professor is considered for tenure prior to the mandatory cycle, it is also considered a nonmandatory reivew. A candidate who is considered for tenure during a nonmandatory review and is denied can be considered again during their mandatory review year.
