The Institute for Emerging Issues will host ReCONNECT to Move Forward, a three-part virtual meeting series. This meeting will examine what we are learning about the impact of COVID-19 in higher education and how colleges and universities are adapting in the near-term to meet the needs of students in an inclusive and equitable way. We’ll also hear about how institutions of higher education are reimagining future approaches to support students, businesses and their communities.
As our society faces more complex problems globally, leaders encounter challenges and obstacles that can not be solved alone. It requires society to solve problems together and openly in order for organizations to survive and advance in their fields. This year’s forum will have speakers who lead and develop others with a global mindset fostering a cultural environment that encourages innovation and empowers others to solve complex problems facing the world today.

The Gerald H. Elkan Distinguished Lecture in Science and Society will feature award-winning author Thomas Hager. Hager will discuss How to Talk About Science in a Post-Truth World. Join us for this online event hosted by NC State’s Park Scholarships Class of 2022.
