The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost announces a new award to honor professional faculty at NC State. The Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching aims to promote the importance of teaching and to encourage, identify, recognize, reward and support excellent teaching within the university.

2 National Teaching Award Semifinalists Are From NC State

Two of nine semifinalists for the Robert Foster Cherry Award for Great Teaching hail from NC State. Laura Bottomley and Hollylynne Lee were semifinalists for the national award, and Lee is now one of three finalists.

Two Faculty Win Holladay Medal

Two faculty members received the Alexander Quarles Holladay Medal for Excellence, the highest honor bestowed by NC State and the university’s Board of Trustees. Chancellor Randy Woodson will recognize the awardees during a virtual Celebration of Faculty Excellence on May 4.
