Research

Research within the academy considers three thematic areas: combating infectious diseases, driving food and water solutions, and addressing climate change and health disparities.

The Global One Health Academy’s research is centered on three intersecting thematic areas that build on strengths and strategic priorities at NC State to address the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals. These interdisciplinary research themes provide a platform for academic exchange and promote new collaborations and partnerships between researchers from within and outside NC State.

Uniting researchers from different disciplines in a coordinated engagement effort is a priority for the academy, with the aim of advancing research and student training, and developing evidence-based recommendations for tackling current and future global threats and opportunities.
