GOHA Undergraduate Programs

Through the Global One Health Academy, students are empowered to increase their awareness of global grand challenges and gain hands-on experience via experiential learning programs that will hone their professional development skills and cultural competencies to address global health challenges by leveraging partnerships with community stakeholders and collaborating universities in the United States and abroad.


Undergraduate Minor of Global One Health

The Global One Health minor is a 15-credit program exploring the interconnections between human, animal, plant, and environmental health. Students employ interdisciplinary perspectives and systems thinking to key Global One Health issues including emerging infectious diseases, challenges to sustainable food and water sources, and climate change and related health disparities. The minor offers flexibility in course selection, catering to various interests and career goals in Global One Health. Through a curriculum that includes foundational courses, specialized electives, and experiential learning opportunities, students will gain critical skills and experience to address complex global challenges.

Global One Health Scholars Program

The Global One Health Scholars Program at NC State develops undergraduate students into the next generation of leaders in One Health through interdisciplinary training, experiential learning, and leadership development, centered on the One Health approach, which connects human, other animal, plant, and environmental health.
