EMAS’ Spring Fling Connects Students and Families

A Parents and Families Services’ signature event, Spring Fling is NC State’s annual spring experience for Wolfpack parents and families. One of two family weekends held each year, Parents and Families Services, part of Enrollment Management and Services, welcomes families back to campus to experience NC State and some of the university’s most beloved traditions alongside their students.

Yesterday, we observed a campuswide Wellness Day for spring 2023. No classes were held and a variety of activities were planned to promote a holistic approach to wellness for faculty, staff and students. I encourage you to continue to care for yourself and others in the spirit of this day throughout the rest of the semester.

The Faculty Committee on Honorary Degrees at NC State seeks nominations for recipients of honorary degrees. Honorary degrees represent NC State’s highest recognition of outstanding contributions to academic, professional or civic society that create a model for others to emulate and reflect the mission and vision of the university.

New Gift from Skanska USA Building Provides Strong Start for Integrative Sciences Building Construction

A generous gift from Skanska USA Building Incorporated provides a strong start to funding for NC State’s Integrative Sciences Building. The $125,000 founding commitment, made under the leadership of Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark Balling, will name Laboratory Rooms 169/171 in the building that will transform the sciences at NC State.

Senior Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs Katharine Stewart to Return to Faculty

Senior Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs Katharine Stewart will be stepping down from her position to return to her full-time faculty role as a professor in the Department of Psychology. Her last day as senior vice provost will be June 30, 2024.
