NC State Honors Outstanding Faculty

NC State honored more than 30 faculty members for their outstanding contributions to the university community during the 2019 Celebration of Faculty Excellence on May 1. The annual event honors faculty who have won prestigious state, national and international awards and created new knowledge and advancements in their respective disciplines.

In this month's Pack Hacks, Kim Allen, director of graduate programs, associate professor and extension specialist in the Department of Youth, Family and Community Sciences, and Angela Smith, teaching associate professor and coordinator of college counseling and the student development program in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development, give insight into keeping students engaged in online learning.

Two Faculty Win Holladay Medal

Donald Bitzer and Youngsoo (Richard) Kim received the Alexander Quarles Holladay Medal for Excellence, the highest honor bestowed by NC State and the university’s Board of Trustees. Chancellor Randy Woodson recognized the awardees during 2019 Celebration of Faculty Excellence on May 1.
