Opening Up the Gateway

NC State’s gateway to Europe is about to open a little wider. Going beyond the UNC System, the NC State European Center in Prague will open its fall 2022 programs to land-grant universities across the country. This represents yet another growth milestone for a program launched in 2005 exclusively for students in NC State’s College of Design.

The Faculty Committee on Honorary Degrees at NC State seeks nominations for recipients of honorary degrees. Honorary degrees represent NC State’s highest recognition of outstanding contributions to academic, professional or civic society, that create a model for others to emulate and reflect the mission and vision of the university.

Search for Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Now Underway

An open search for the dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is now underway. As previously noted, Dean Rich Linton will step down February 15 to become the president of Kansas State University. John Dole, associate dean and director for academic programs, will serve as interim dean effective February 16.

Rob Dunn Named Interim Senior Vice Provost for University Interdisciplinary Programs

Rob Dunn has been named Interim Senior Vice Provost for University Interdisciplinary Programs, effective January 17. Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Warwick Arden made the announcement today.
