Louis-Marie Bobay, Xingcheng Lin to Join NC State as part of Bioinformatics Faculty Cluster

Biologist Louis-Marie Bobay and biophysicist Xingcheng Lin will join NC State in August 2023 as members of the Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Program’s Bioinformatics cluster and as assistant professors in the College of Sciences.

Erin Seekamp Named Goodnight Distinguished Professor of Coastal Resilience and Sustainability, and Director of the Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Initiative

NC State’s College of Natural Resources, along with the Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs, is pleased to announce that Dr. Erin Seekamp, a professor of parks, recreation and tourism management and an extension tourism specialist in the College of Natural Resources, has been appointed Goodnight Distinguished Professor of Coastal Resilience and Sustainability, and director of the Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Initiative. The appointment is effective August 16.

With NC State’s Think and Do spirit, Wicked Problems, Wolfpack Solutions encourages students to think about current and future problems interdisciplinarily even before they arrive on campus. The free online course helps connect students to the greater NC State community, while bringing together diverse perspectives and disciplines on a common problem.
