The position was posted February 20. The nomination committee will hold its first meeting on February 29 and continue to work during the spring. Finalist candidate interviews and open forums will be held in late April.

The university is looking for an experienced, innovative, creative and collaborative leader with the ability to understand NC State’s culture pertaining to faculty affairs. They should have demonstrated leadership in faculty policy development and administration; faculty recruitment, recognition and retention; faculty reappointment, promotion and tenure; and professional development for faculty and academic leaders. NC State also seeks to attract and review a diverse candidate pool. The nomination committee will receive training on conducting an equitable and inclusive hiring process and has been tasked with reaching out to colleagues for input on diverse candidates. Faculty and staff are encouraged to share the job prospectus and send recommendations on potential ideal candidates for recruitment.
