October 2024 Provost’s Corner
Dear faculty and staff,
At the halfway point of the fall semester, we’ve seen our fair share of successes with faculty, staff and students around campus. There’s much more that lies ahead, and I look forward to finishing out this half of the academic year strong.
We’re getting ready to kick off our annual homecoming celebration, Red and White Week, Oct. 27-Nov. 3. Be sure to check out the full slate of activities and get ready to remember why NC State will always be your home.
During the week, we’ll also hear the final Chancellor’s Fall Address from Chancellor Woodson. Please join us in Talley Student Union on Oct. 30 at 1:30 p.m. as he reflects on 14 extraordinary years serving the Wolfpack community.
Don’t forget to get your scoop of Howling Cow’s newest ice cream flavor — Caramel Mocha Latte, the Provost’s Pick — at this year’s N.C. State Fair. Learn more about the flavor and where else you can find it in this month’s newsletter.
We also have the five-year review for Vice Provost for Assessment and Accreditation Fashaad Crawford, which includes a presentation open to the campus community on Friday, Nov. 8, from 9-10 a.m. in the Washington Sankofa Room (Room 126) of Witherspoon Student Center. A Zoom Webinar will be accessible at https://go.ncsu.edu/oaa_review.
Thank you for all that you do to support NC State through your scholarship, service and outreach. I look forward to what the remainder of the semester holds.
