Search for Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine Now Underway
An open search for the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine is now underway.
As previously announced, Dean Paul Lunn is leaving NC State in mid-January 2022 to become dean of his alma mater, the University of Liverpool School of Veterinary Science. Kate Meurs, Randall B. Terry, Jr. Distinguished Professor in Comparative Medicine and associate dean for research and graduate studies, has been appointed to serve as interim dean effective January 18, 2022.
The College of Veterinary Medicine dean search nomination committee is chaired by Dean David Hinks of the Wilson College of Textiles. The other committee members each represent a group of college constituents including faculty from each department, department heads, administration, EHRA non-faculty staff, SHRA staff, students and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation. Committee members are:

The nomination committee will hold its first meeting Friday, September 10 and will continue to work during the fall and spring semesters.
