New Gift from Skanska USA Building Provides Strong Start for Integrative Sciences Building Construction

A generous gift from Skanska USA Building Incorporated provides a strong start to funding for NC State’s Integrative Sciences Building. The $125,000 founding commitment, made under the leadership of Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark Balling, will name Laboratory Rooms 169/171 in the building that will transform the sciences at NC State.

NC State Hosts Integrative Sciences Building Groundbreaking

NC State will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Integrative Sciences Building on Friday, September 8 from 2-3 p.m. on the Brickyard on Main Campus. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.

NC State Names New Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine

Kate Meurs has been named dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University following a nationwide search. Her appointment becomes effective April 1. Meurs takes the permanent position after serving as interim dean of the college since January 18, following the departure of former dean Paul Lunn to become dean of the University of Liverpool School of Veterinary Science.

An open search for the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine is now underway. Kate Meurs, Randall B. Terry, Jr. Distinguished Professor in Comparative Medicine and associate dean for research and graduate studies, has been appointed to serve as interim dean effective January 18, 2022.

College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Paul Lunn has announced that he will step down from his position at NC State in mid-January 2022 to become dean of his alma mater, the University of Liverpool School of Veterinary Science.

College of Veterinary Medicine Open House

Visit NC State Veterinary Medicine for a day filled with animal friends, fun, and interesting information. Staff members identifiable by Open House shirts can answer questions or help meet any needs during your tour. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended for touring the CVM. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times and please leave pets at home. Registration is not required.
