An open search for the vice provost for Budget and Business Operations is underway.
The nomination committee for the vice provost for Budget and Business Operations search is chaired by Associate Vice Chancellor for Budget and Resource Management Barbara Moses. Committee members are:
- Adam Brueggemann, University Budget Director, Division of Budget and Resource Management
- Margery Overton, Senior Vice Provost, Institutional Strategy and Analysis
- Kelly Wick, Chief of Staff and Director of Projects and Planning, Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
Executive Search Services in University Human Resources will manage recruiting and logistics for this search. Kelly Wick will be managing the search for the Provost’s Office.
The position was posted April 26. The nomination committee held its first meeting on April 10 and will continue to work during the summer.
The university is looking for an experienced, innovative, detailed-oriented and collaborative leader with a high-level view of NC State’s strategic priorities, the ability to understand and precisely manage large, complex budgets, and a commitment to continuous improvement of operational processes. They should have demonstrated leadership in budget preparation, budget management, budget planning and expenditure monitoring. The university also seeks to attract and review a diverse candidate pool. The nomination committee will receive training on conducting an equitable and inclusive hiring process and has been tasked with reaching out to colleagues for input on diverse candidates. Faculty and staff are encouraged to share the job prospectus and send recommendations on potential ideal candidates for recruitment.
