Capping Off an Extraordinary Year
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university held its first virtual commencement on December 4. Even in the absence of the traditional setting of PNC Arena, NC State awarded 152 associate, 6,104 bachelor’s, 2,755 master’s and 532 doctorate degrees, along with 100 doctorates of veterinary medicine to the class of 2020.

Strategic Planning Update
The Strategic Planning Executive Steering Committee has reviewed the content of task force reports and defined overlapping themes to create high-level strategic planning goals that will guide the university over the next 10 years. A high-level review of NC State’s proposed 2021-2030 vision, values and strategic plan goals is ready for review and feedback.

3D Memo: Programs that Involve the Participation of Minors
In order to protect the minors that participate in NC State online programs and activities, REG 01.25.18 has been updated to include online programming with minors in the same manner as in-person programs and activities. Effective January 1, 2021, all online programs and activities offered to minors that require a registration process are governed by this regulation and must fulfill the requirements as outlined.
