Bio
Haotian Zheng, PhD, is a tenure-track assistant professor in Food Chemistry at North Carolina State University (NC State). He also affiliates with the Southeast Dairy Foods Research Center at NC State. Zheng’s research interests include but are not limited to mining functionalities from milk components and agricultural products. He teaches food ingredient functionality related courses at NC State. Currently, in 2025, Zheng lab hosts 7 PhD students, and 1 postdoctoral research associate. Graduate students from his research program won or were shortlisted in graduate student research competitions from different professional organizations and international meetings (e.g. American Dairy Science Association (ADSA), American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI), and Institute of Food Technologists (IFT)).
