
Citizen Science Project Development Workshop

The Citizen Science Incubator is a program for identifying 1-2 focal projects of the year for the Citizen Science Campus. Citizen science refers to a type of participatory science in which research depends on public engagement in the voluntary generation of data.
Interested in submitting a proposal but not sure where to start? Attend the Citizen Science Project Development Workshop! Workshop participants will receive assistance in developing the main components of their potential citizen science project. The workshop will cover topics such as identifying the appropriateness of a citizen science approach for the research question of interest, developing clear volunteer protocols, approaches for ensuring data quality fit for intended uses, and ethical obligations to participants such as communication of results and dissemination of findings. The goal will be for participants to produce highly competitive applications for the 2025 Citizen Science Campus Incubator (if interested) with a projected due date of May 30, 2025.
