Meet GOHA’s New Program Specialist

Kristen Fontana is excited to join the Global One Health Academy core team as the University Program Specialist! She has been a proud member of the Wolfpack since 2018. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and a Master in Climate Change and Society, both achieved with honors from NC State University. Kristen’s passion for science, environmental health, and communications will allow her to effectively serve and support GOHA. Prior to her appointment with GOHA, Kristen spent two years at the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center as a Climate Science Communications Fellow. During this time, Kristen not only shared, but also learned about exciting climate adaptation efforts being pursued in the U.S. Southeast.

Kristen is honored to join the GOHA team and cannot wait to utilize her knowledge and skills to help promote GOHA’s mission to engage faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students in improving the health of plants, animals, biodiversity and human society in North Carolina and beyond.
