From Provost Arden: Shift to Remote Instruction for Remainder of Fall 2020 Semester

In this memo, Provost Arden announces to faculty that as of 8 a.m. on Monday, August 24, NC State will be moving all undergraduate instruction that is not already online to a remote instruction format, and that graduate courses will remain in their existing format. The Office of Faculty Development and DELTA have created a tip sheet for faculty in light of this transition.

A Different Kind of Summer

NC State faculty, staff and students have experienced many changes in their lives over the course of the spring semester, and summer didn’t necessarily like what they’ve experienced in the past. Regardless of the situation, the campus community came up with great ways to think and do both personally and professionally this summer.

NC State students, do your part: COVID-19 and your responsibilities

From Chancellor Woodson, Provost Arden and Interim Vice Chancellor for DASA Lisa Zapata: Our thanks to the many students who are doing all they can to Protect the Pack by wearing face coverings, keeping physically distant and adhering to our community standards. Unfortunately, over the past few days we’ve also witnessed far too many occasions where students are not taking measures to keep themselves or others safe from COVID-19. To ensure health and safety, the university must and will hold students accountable for behavior inconsistent with our COVID-19 rules and guidelines. Students not complying with NC State’s required community standards will be subject to referral to the Office of Student Conduct and disciplinary action.
