Annette Ranft Named Dean of Poole College of Management

Annette L. Ranft, senior associate dean of academic affairs and the Reagan Professor of Business at the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business, has been named the Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management, effective July 1, 2016.

David Hinks Named Dean of College of Textiles

Dr. David Hinks has been named dean of North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles after serving as its interim leader since July 2014. Provost Warwick Arden announced Hinks’ permanent appointment, which is effective Jan. 1, 2016.

2015-16 Faculty Scholars Named

NC State Chancellor Randy Woodson announced the 2015-16 University Faculty Scholars, top NC State early- and mid-career faculty who will receive $10,000 in donated funds for each of the next five years to support their academic endeavors. The recognition and reward program is part of the university’s strategic initiative to invest in and retain top faculty.

Poole College of Management Dean Ira Weiss to Step Down June 2016

Last week, Chancellor Woodson shared with the Board of Trustees that next academic year, 2015-16, will be Ira Weiss’ last year as dean of the Poole College of Management. Dean Weiss plans to step down effective June 30, 2016.
