In October 2022, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Warwick Arden convened the Black Faculty Retention and Success Task Force. A report of findings from that task force is now available.

Many events in 2020 brought issues of systemic racism and injustice to the forefront of the American consciousness. In response to these issues, the NC State community continues to strive to create a campus ingrained with equity, inclusivity and allyship, and is taking immediate steps to know and do better.

The Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate - North Carolina Alliance seeks to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (URM) in faculty positions. The three universities making up the AGEP-NC Alliance, NC State, NC A&T State University and UNC Charlotte, are working together to move toward this goal.
