Dear faculty and staff,
With the 2024-25 academic year now behind us, we turn our focus to a busy summer ahead at NC State. First though, I want to thank all of you for working to make this past year a success.
On Saturday, May 3, we celebrated spring commencement in Carter-Finley Stadium, adding many new members to the Wolfpack alumni family. During the ceremony, NC State conferred 66 associate, 5,079 bachelor’s, 1,783 master’s and 306 doctoral degrees. With the 3,389 degrees conferred in December, the university has awarded a total of 10,623 degrees for the 2024-25 academic year. You can read more about some of our most recent graduates in this newsletter.
We also recently celebrated Employee Appreciation Week, and many of you took part in a wide variety of activities both on campus and virtually. Soon, we’ll recognize a new group of students to campus with New Student Orientation, starting in mid-June.
I hope that even though we’re busy all throughout the year, you’ll take some time this summer to celebrate your own achievements and spend time enjoying travel, hobbies and other pursuits. Enjoy this time and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
